On the 17^th October 2018, NSW Parliament passed a series of proposed recommendations to the Residential Tenancies Act 2010. According to the Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation, Matt Kean, the reforms in the Residential Tenancies Amendment (Review) Bill 2018 were “common-sense changes” and were designed to try and “get the balance right” between both landlord and tenant; to increase protection for renters while ensuring landlords can manage their properties effectively.

New research published by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has predicted that Sydney’s three major rail projects will have a significant impact on NSW property markets over the next six years.

A prenuptial agreement (“prenup”) is a form of Binding Financial Agreement (BFA) setting out how the assets and liabilities would be divided if a relationship, marriage or de facto, breaks down. They can be made before or during the relationship and normally avoid the Family Court from becoming involved if the relationship falters.
